Autel Academy is an ASE-accredited ADAS training provider and is recognized by the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance, meeting the rigorous technician training and development standards set by both organizations. Earn I-CAR credits and complete Autel Academy ADAS Level 1 Certification with the 3-day program.
Autel MaxiSYS ADAS

This course provides a structured, hands-on introduction to ADAS calibrations. Designed as a foundational program, it delivers an accelerated, high-impact learning experience that goes beyond the basics without diving into advanced diagnostic theory.

Autel Academy offers both 2-day and 3-day ADAS training options, with the 3-day course providing I-CAR credits and complete Autel Academy ADAS Level 1 Certification.

2-Day ADAS Training:

Teaches Fundamental Execution

  • Structured classroom instruction covering common ADAS components, calibration setup, requirements and workflows, including documentation requirements and review
  • Hands-on calibration experience across multiple vehicle setups
  • Focus on proper setup, execution, and documentation practices
  • Certificate of Attendance

3-Day ADAS Training:

Includes all 2-day training, plus:

  • Application-based training focused on basic diagnostics principles, and workflow decision-making
  • Reinforcement of calibration procedures through hands-on exercises
  • Entry-level estimating and documentation practices
  • Liability awareness integrated into real-world calibration scenarios

3rd Day of Training Topics:
  • Vehicle inspections integrated into the calibration process, reinforcing how OEM prerequisites and vehicle condition impact calibration outcomes
  • 12-volt fundamentals and vehicle communication concepts introduced in context when calibration issues or anomalies arise
  • Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting applied during failed, interrupted, or inconsistent calibration attempts
  • Review of module setup, initialization, and programming considerations introduced in the 2-day course, applied when additional operations are required
  • Calibration failure analysis taught through real examples encountered during hands-on calibration work
  • Workflow decision-making reinforced throughout the day, including when to proceed, pause, escalate, or stop ADAS work
  • ADAS liability awareness, focusing on risk exposure, documentation expectations, and how incomplete or improper calibrations can create real-world liability

If you are traveling by air, the training facility is about a 20-minute drive from Detroit Metro Airport.

Hotel Accommodations Are Included

If you elect for the hotel accommodations, a 2-night or 3-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Plymouth is included with your reservation. Your booking starts on the night before your first day of training and will be reserved ahead of time by Autel.

Check-in is anytime after 3 PM on the day before the first day of training.

You will check-out the morning of the second or third day before you head to SEMA Garage.

Hotel Shuttle

A shuttle from the hotel to SEMA Garage, and back to the hotel, will be provided. Please meet each morning in the lobby of the hotel at 8:15 AM for an 8:30 AM departure.


Meals

First Day of Training: Refreshments, snacks, and lunch will be served at the SEMA Garage training facility, and a hotel dinner voucher is also included.

Second and Third Day of Training: Refreshments, snacks, and lunch will be served at the SEMA Garage training facility.


*Autel Academy is an ASE Accredited Training Provider. ASE accreditation recognizes the quality and structure of the training program. For information on ASE technician certification (including L4 ADAS), visit the ASE Website.

**Upon course completion, Autel will submit the attendee’s registered I-CAR ID for credit consideration. Credit approval, course equivalency, and application toward I-CAR roles are determined by I-CAR and may vary. 3-Day training is required to earn Autel Certification and I-CAR credit eligibility.
